The 5'x9.5' Cotton American Flag is the most commonly used flag for Memorial Services.  When purchasing a flag to drape over a loved ones coffin or as a memorial gift this is the one of the best options.  The warm and soft feel of cotton along with its historical significance are the reasons customers choose it over other materials.  While it is a perfect option to consider for a memorial service, it's not necessarily the best choice for outdoor use.  Dyeing techniques are so much more advanced than they were even 10 years ago and you will likely never have a bleeding issue with this flag, but we still recommend the US Nylon or US Polyester Outdoor flags for 24/7 use outdoors.  The 5'x9.5' US Outdoor flag is constructed using the same methods we use for our commercial grade American flags, so if you do decided to fly it outdoors, you will receive the same construction benefits as any of our commercial grade flags.
